A group of La Sierra students traveled to La Trinidad, Nicaragua over spring break. Their objective? To build a wall around an Adventist academy. Their work became much more than cement and dirt.
The students planned and led Vacation Bible School every morning and organized community talks on basic health awareness. Along the way, they found unconditional love, acceptance, and friendships. As one student put it, “We thought we were going to change a community, but the community ended up changing us.”
